With many potentials and advantages, especially in agriculture and green tourism, Khanh Son District is identified as a promising destination for investors. To promote socio-economic development in a fast and sustainable direction, the district is calling for investment in 17 key projects of the district.
Great investment potential
With the advantage of agricultural development, since 2017, Khanh Son has begun to promote the conversion of high-value crops. Currently, the whole district has 3,640 hectares of fruit trees, with an expected output of 22,219 tons in 2024. Of which, durian accounts for 71% of the fruit tree area, with 2,600 hectares; the area currently being harvested is 1,700 hectares, the output in 2024 is 17,000 tons, with a revenue of more than 1,000 billion VND. Many gardeners in the area have applied GAP production standards (VietGAP, GlobalGAP) with more than 350 hectares; there are 15 durian growing area codes officially exported to China with a total area of 430 hectares. With this advantage, the district is focusing on attracting investment in agricultural production to shift from the mindset of “agricultural production” to the mindset of “agricultural economy”, producing high-value agricultural products, diversifying according to the value chain, suitable for market requirements; shifting from the agricultural supply chain to the industry value chain; developing green agriculture, applying high technology, sustainable development… The district is calling for investors to come to the locality to invest in factories and agricultural processing facilities to serve domestic consumption and export needs.

Khanh Son is also known as the homeland of the national treasure Khanh Son lithophone, a place with a traditional culture imbued with the identity of the Raglai ethnic group with unique rituals and customs such as: Grave abandonment ceremony (recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2012), new rice festival, life cycle ritual, thanksgiving ceremony... This place also has many types of folk art of the Raglai people, famous ethnic musical instruments that have been featured in poetry such as the chapi; space for cultural activities of gongs and ma la; traditional crafts...
Cao Minh Vy - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee shared: "Along with the above advantages, the district also has a cool climate all year round, a diverse forest ecological environment, and pristine tourism resources... The locality has many unique natural attractions such as: Ta Gu Waterfall (Son Hiep Commune), Doc Quy Waterfall (Son Lam Commune), Ta Giang Plateau (Thanh Son Commune), To Hap Valley (To Hap Town); many meaningful historical revolutionary relics... These are important resources for the district to attract investment in the tourism sector".
Calling for investment
In order to exploit the potential and advantages of the district, in recent years, the province has focused resources from central and provincial capital sources to complete infrastructure, promote local socio-economic development. In particular, the traffic project from National Highway 27C to Provincial Road DT.656 of Khanh Hoa province - connecting with Lam Dong province and Ninh Thuan province is being implemented, which will open up great opportunities for the district to develop rapidly in the future.

Dinh Van Dung - Chairman of the District People's Committee said: "To develop Khanh Son into a small ecological urban area of mountains and forests; to develop socio-economic development in a fast and sustainable direction, associated with promoting cultural identity and indigenous resource values according to the orientation of the Central and the province, in the district planning, the locality has specifically identified 17 key projects to attract investors; these are large and important projects to promote the district's socio-economic development in the future. The district will strive to attract and create the most favorable conditions for investors. The district also hopes that the province, departments and branches will pay attention and support the locality in promoting and attracting large investors to Khanh Son".
The district has 17 key projects calling for non-budgetary investment capital, including: Ta Gu Eco-tourism Area (Son Hiep Commune) with an area of about 15 hectares; Doi Thong Tourist Area (Son Hiep Commune) with an area of about 15 hectares; Dinh Deo Rest Stop (Ba Cum Bac Commune); Gia Stream Tourist Area (also known as Da Stream - Ba Cum Bac Commune) with an area of about 41.9 hectares; Ta Giang Trekking Area (Thanh Son Commune) with an area of about 50 hectares; Doi Thong Tourist Area in Ba Cum Nam Commune with an area of about 50 hectares; Dong Nam Khanh Son Golf Course & Resort Eco-tourism Area (Ba Cum Nam Commune) with an area of about 150 hectares; Dinh Deo Eco-tourism Area to Katơ Lake with an area of about 110 hectares; To Hap Central Park Eco-urban Area (alluvial area near Son Trung Bridge) with an area of about 12 hectares; To Hap Town North Eco-urban Area (Dinh Tien Hoang Street) with an area of about 20 hectares; The North Son Trung Eco-Urban Area has an area of about 20 hectares; the South Son Trung Eco-Urban Area has an area of about 5 hectares; the Provincial Party Committee Cave Relic Site (Son Binh Commune) has an area of about 3 hectares; the Doc Trau Industrial and Handicraft Cluster (Ba Cum Bac Commune) has an area of about 15 hectares; the Post-Production Agricultural Product Preservation Factory in Son Binh Commune has an area of about 0.1 hectares; the Khanh Son Trade and Service Center has an area of about 0.5 hectares; the Ko Roa Trade, Service and Tourism Center (Son Lam Commune) has an area of about 100 hectares.
