According to the leaders of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the program to vote for typical rural industrial products of Khanh Hoa province is organized periodically every 2 years, starting from 2013. In the past 11 years, there have been 5 voting periods from district to provincial levels. Accordingly, the voting at district level is organized in 6 districts, towns and cities including: Cam Ranh, Cam Lam, Dien Khanh, Nha Trang, Ninh Hoa and Van Ninh. Over 5 voting periods, the whole province has 334 typical rural industrial products at district level, including 176 products, product sets of 149 establishments at provincial level. At the regional level (Central - Central Highlands), Khanh Hoa has 39 products, product sets of 37 establishments voted. Also during the past 11 years, Khanh Hoa has had 22 products and product sets of 22 establishments voted as national typical rural industrial products.

Supporting facilities to develep production

According to the leader of the Center for Industry and Trade Promotion (under the Department of Industry and Trade), establishments with products voted at provincial level or higher are supported to apply advanced machinery and equipment in industrial and handicraft production stages, helping establishments innovate technology and equipment to improve product quality and value. Accordingly, in the period of 2014 - 2023, the whole province has 56 establishments supported with a total budget of more than 6.3 billion VND from local industrial promotion funds, along with counterpart capital of nearly 27 billion VND from establishments to implement the application of advanced machinery and equipment in production. In addition, in the period of 2014 - 2024, about 200 booths of nearly 150 industrial production establishments will participate in domestic and foreign trade fairs, participating in many typical industrial production fairs from national industrial promotion funds. In addition, the center also coordinates with press agencies, media and other channels to promote and introduce products.

Nguyen Sanh Duong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said that the results of the voting for typical rural industrial products at all levels are the basis for the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to develop plans and propose the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Industry and Trade to support production development, expand markets, contribute to promoting the development of typical rural industrial establishments, create jobs for local workers... At the same time, promptly attract, encourage and motivate typical rural industrial establishments in general and units with voted products to be more active in maintaining production and developing high-quality products with local potential and advantages. In propaganda work, Khanh Hoa always promotes in many forms to widely introduce the province's typical rural industrial products to domestic and foreign consumers through fairs, exhibitions, trade promotion and product introduction.
