According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, the province's industrial production index in 2024 is estimated to increase by 25.68% compared to 2023. This is the third consecutive year that industry has increased by double digits (in 2022, it increased by 21.68%, in 2023, it increased by 13.69%). Contributing to the overall growth, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 3.45%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 3.7 times; water supply and waste and wastewater treatment increased by 6.76%. Some industrial products have high production indexes. Electricity production increased 2.9 times because the BOT Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant has officially come into operation; beer of all kinds increased by 7.9%; frozen seafood increased by 16.1%; sugar of all kinds increased by 10.4%...

Provincial leaders have focused on directing the acceleration of the completion of infrastructure construction projects in industrial parks and industrial clusters that are being implemented and promoting the attraction of secondary investment in industrial parks and industrial clusters with completed infrastructure. Along with that, the province has also accelerated the encouragement of businesses to develop and apply smart processing and manufacturing industries to create breakthroughs in new production capacity associated with science - technology, innovation and digital transformation; promote activities to support the application of advanced machinery, equipment, and new technologies in production through national and local industrial promotion programs.

Although industry has always grown in recent years, provincial leaders believe that there is still much room for development. Therefore, in the coming time, the industry is oriented towards sustainable and environmentally friendly development. Khanh Hoa will prioritize attracting investment in digital economic sectors, sectors developing on technology platforms such as digital, nanotechnology, biological industry, new materials, pharmaceuticals, environmental technology, clean energy... Environmentally friendly industries, bringing high added value, rapidly increasing occupancy rates and improving economic efficiency of industrial parks and industrial clusters are of special interest to the province; resolutely not accepting projects using outdated technology, consuming energy, and having the risk of pollution...

In the planning, the province has planned a system of industrial parks and industrial clusters that are reasonable in space, exploiting the potential and advantages of the province and ensuring sustainable development; synchronous development between the technical infrastructure of industrial parks and industrial clusters with the social infrastructure system and services for workers. In addition, the Prime Minister has approved the Adjustment of the General Planning for the Construction of Van Phong Economic Zone to 2040, with a vision to 2050, increasing the total area of ​​industrial production development to about 2,721 hectares.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that in the coming time, the province will promote the processing and manufacturing industries; increase support activities for the application of advanced machinery and equipment, and the application of new production technologies to improve productivity, product quality, and competitiveness in the market, especially for products with advantages of the province such as seafood, shipbuilding, bird's nest drinks, etc. Along with that, the province will focus on removing difficulties for large-scale industrial projects in the area to put them into operation soon, increasing production capacity; create favorable conditions for investors to accelerate the completion of existing projects (Ninh Thuy Industrial Park, Doc Da Trang Industrial Park; industrial clusters: Dien Tho, Trang E 2, Ninh Xuan ...)

In addition, the province continues to attract secondary investment enterprises to contribute to improving production capacity, solving employment and creating new sources of revenue at industrial clusters: Trang E 2, Song Cau, Khatoco Industrial and Livestock Cluster and Dien Tho; promote investment in South Cam Ranh Industrial Park, Cam Thanh Nam Industrial Park, Cam Thinh Dong Industrial Park and industrial clusters according to approved planning.
