January CPI of Khanh Hoa Province increased by 1.01%

According to Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Statistics, the province’s consumer price index (CPI) in January increased by 1.01% compared to December 2024 and by 2.4% over the same period last year.

8 groups with an increase in price index among 11 main groups of goods and services included  food and catering services (1.77%); beverages and tobacco (1.07%); clothing, hats, and footwear (0.48%); household appliances and equipment (0.15%); medicine and medical services (9.95%); transportation (1.05%); culture, entertainment, and tourism services (0.12%); other goods and services (0.63%). housing, electricity, water, fuel, and construction materials decreased by 0.43%. Groups of goods and services with stable price indexes included post and telecommunications, and education.

The main reason for the increase in January CPI was due to high consumer demand for Lunar New Year 2025. The increase in gasoline prices also contributed to the increase in CPI in January.
