Recently, Ha Lien ancient village (in Ninh Ha ward, Ninh Hoa town) has become famous on social networks, praised by the community for its unique and poetic beauty of an oasis on the shore of Nha Phu lagoon. The beauty of the village, which is over 370 years old, is not only marked by its geographical location and unique cultural beauty, but this place also has great potential for developing community tourism.

Seen from above, Ha Lien looks like a kite flying in the vast Nha Phu lagoon. Both sides on the only road leading to the village are aquaculture ponds; the village is sheltered by the green of the mangrove forest... In the village, there is the Nam Hai mausoleum, the communal house, the Thien Y A Na temple, the Hau Tho temple, the Hue Lien pagoda and especially the houses located close together. Through many generations, the people of Ha Lien have always been industrious, hard-working, day and night sticking to the sea, exploiting aquatic resources. "Since I was young, I have been familiar with rowing boats, casting nets to catch fish, and raising aquatic products. The mangrove forests not only provide shrimps, crabs, and fish but also protect people during storms. Therefore, everyone has a sense of protection", Chu Minh Hoang (a resident of Ha Lien) confided. With the beauty and uniqueness of a village located separately from other residential areas, Ha Lien village possesses the potential to become an attractive community tourism destination. Recently, many groups of domestic and foreign individual visitors have come to Ha Lien to visit and learn. Le Van Tham (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) shared: “This is a peaceful, friendly village with many unique cultural features. Following the locals to go fishing, watching the mangrove forest, pulling the net to catch fish by hand... is an unforgettable experience”. Pham Minh Dinh (a resident of Ha Lien) said: “For more than a year, tourists from many places have come here to visit, so I have used my family's boat to transport them. They praise the unique scenery and culture of the village. I hope that one day in the near future, this place will be invested in to develop sustainable tourism, so that many people will know about Ha Lien and contribute to increasing the income of the people”. Discussing the direction of tourism development in Ha Lien village, Nguyen Thanh Hung - Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Ninh Hoa town said that recently, Ha Lien has suddenly emerged on social networks with the unique beauty of a peaceful village. This can be considered the starting point for investment to turn Ha Lien village into a community tourism destination. In the tourism development plan of Ninh Hoa town in 2025, Ha Lien has been chosen to set up a survey team to learn about the conditions for building a community tourism model. If Ha Lien becomes a community tourism destination, it will contribute to increasing the livelihoods of the people, while preserving and promoting unique cultural and historical values sustainably.
