In 2025, Khanh Hoa province aims to increase its gross regional domestic product (GRDP) by 10.5% compared to 2024 and maintain double-digit growth in the next 10 years. To complete this target, synchronous solutions and efforts from the entire political system are required.

Striving for comprehensive growth

In 2025, Khanh Hoa aims to increase its GRDP by 10.5% compared to 2024. Of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery are expected to increase by 3.5%; the industry - construction sector is expected to increase by 14.6%; the service sector is expected to increase by 9.2%; product taxes minus product subsidies is expected to increase by 7.7%; GRDP per capita is expected to reach 115.6 million VND/year, up 13.9%; total social development investment is expected to reach nearly VND96,683 billion, up 20%; State budget revenue is expected to reach VND28,000 billion, up 37%.

According to Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, in order to complete the set targets, at the beginning of the year, the Provincial People's Committee issued a plan and directed the drastic implementation of solutions to boost state budget collection in 2025, assigning specific tasks to agencies, units and localities. In addition, the Provincial People's Committee requested all levels and sectors to strictly comply with financial and state budget discipline, develop detailed plans to organize the implementation of budget collection tasks this year. The Provincial People's Committee also directed to accelerate the progress of determining financial obligations of non-budget projects, auctioning land use rights and real estate facilities, implementing procedures to change land use purposes for local people, promoting production and business activities to consolidate revenue sources, and developing new revenue sources.

Regarding the task of disbursing public investment capital, the Provincial People's Committee directed to urgently allocate detailed capital plans and resolutely disburse public investment capital in 2025; requesting agencies and units to develop detailed plans to organize the disbursement of public investment capital for each specific project and construction under their management authority. Along with that, the province has urged and guided the removal of obstacles for investment projects; resolutely accelerated the progress of key projects; direct agencies, units and localities to proactively review tasks and projects to ensure the allocation of investment capital in accordance with regulations, with focus and key points.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee continues to direct the implementation of administrative reform and digital transformation tasks in 2025; complete and test the toolkit for measuring and evaluating results and work efficiency (Key Performance Indicator - KPI) for cadres, civil servants and public employees; direct all levels, sectors and cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to quickly focus on work, review key and focal tasks to effectively implement them right from the beginning of the year.

In particular, the Provincial People's Committee requires agencies, units and localities to urgently develop plans and action programs for the province's economic growth in 2025 with specific growth plans, suitable for the industry, field, and practical situation of the locality and key tasks and solutions for implementation, ensuring the overall growth target of the whole province to reach 10 - 10.5%.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee requested units and localities to speed up progress, urgently complete important planning, regional planning, zoning planning, construction planning, detailed planning... to ensure that by 2025, 100% of planning in the province will be covered; continue to resolutely implement solutions to collect the state budget in 2025; exploit existing revenue sources well and develop new revenue sources; and expand revenue collection.

In particular, to meet the development needs and create a foundation for sustainable development, the Provincial People's Committee requires investors to resolutely accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital in 2025; promptly settle completed works and projects and put into use; focus on directing and urging, resolutely accelerating the progress of key national and provincial projects.

In 2025, the province will continue to improve the investment and business environment, facilitate domestic and foreign investment.

At the working session with Sun Group pn March 5, Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee affirmed: In the next 10 years, Khanh Hoa sets a target of a decade of double-digit growth. Along with that, budget revenue and per capita income need also increase by double digits, in which budget revenue alone strives to reach about 50,000 billion VND by 2030 and become a province with an economic scale in the group of 15 leading provinces nationwide. This is an extremely heavy task, however, with current conditions, this goal is completely feasible.
