Khanh Hoa Provincial Cooperative Alliance has recently signed a cooperative program with Vietnam Seaculture Association to promote the development of collective economy and cooperatives in high-tech marine aquaculture in Khanh Hoa in 2025-2029 period. The two units signed a cooperative program on strengthening propagation to raise their members’, fishermen’ and farmers’ awareness of collective economic development and sustainable marine aquaculture; propagation on planning for the development of fishery industry; application of science and technology in breeding, aquaculture, exploitation, preliminary processing, processing and consumption in the current period, etc.
At the signing ceremony, Vietnam Seaculture Association and the Provincial Cooperative Alliance also agreed to strengthen training and supporting on legal procedures for aquaculture and combating IUU fishing; help to provide information on the application of advanced techniques, management and operation process of HDPE cages, technical and machine operation skills; mobilize resources to support the development of collective economy and high-tech marine aquaculture cooperatives; support the establishment of 1 to 3 new aquaculture and high-tech marine aquaculture cooperatives and groups of cooperatives in Khanh Hoa; etc.
Currently, Khanh Hoa Provincial Cooperative Alliance comprises of 17 aquaculture cooperatives with 225 members and a total charter capital of more than VND10 billion.
