Ulsan City delegation works with Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board

On April 22 afternoon, Ahn Hyo Dae, Deputy Mayor of Economic Affairs of Ulsan City (South Korea) and members of South Korea’s working delegation had a working session with the Management Board of Van Phong Economic Zone visited the southern area of Van Phong.

At the meeting, Le Hong Phuong, Deputy Head of the Standing Board of Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board introduced to the delegation of Ulsan City about the potential and strengths of Van Phong Economic Zone. Accordingly, Van Phong Economic Zone is a multi-sector economic zone that plays a leading role in attracting investment and is the driving force for economic development in neighboring regions and the country. It is also a high-end tourism and entertainment service center with unique and distinct tourism products and services and international competitive potential. Currently, Khanh Hoa province has determined projects for strategic investors according to Resolution No. 55/2022/QH15 of the National Assembly including seaports, airports and new urban areas.

Le Hong Phuong hoped that Ulsan City’s delegation and the Deputy Mayor will create a bridge for South Korean enterprises to invest in Van Phong Economic Zone. The Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board pledged to create favorable conditions for investment procedures and offer preferential policies to South Korean investors in general and those from Ulsan City in particular.

Also at the meeting, the representatives of South Van Phong International Port and Ninh Thuy Industrial Park introduced to the delegation their infrastructure and preferential policies in industrial land lease.

Ahn Hyo Dae highly appraised the potential and strengths of Van Phong Economic Zone. He opined that the zone is well-equipped for industrial growth, especially heavy industry. Stating about the long-standing relationship between Ulsan and Khanh Hoa, Ahn Hyo Dae noted untapped potential for cooperation to boost socio-economic development in both localities. Citing the success of HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., he affirmed that Ulsan City government will act as a bridge for enterprises from both localities to collaborate and fully exploit cooperation potential  in the future.
