Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee works with businesses investing in energy projects

On September 25, Trinh Minh Hoang - Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with the delegation of Mekong Delta Investment and Development of Economic Maritime Zones Joint Stock Company and businesses from the United States, South Korea and Singapore about investment in energy projects in the province.

At the working session, Trinh Minh Hoang provided information regarding Khanh Hoa’s potential, strengths and development orientation in the field of energy and supporting industries, especially direction in calling for investment in wind power, LNG power, nuclear power, battery storage system, power transmission system, energy supporting industry, etc.

Mekong Delta Investment and Development of Economic Maritime Zones Joint Stock Company and the businesses pledged an investment of USD10 billion in energy, infrastructure and sea port projects in Vietnam over the next few years, especially investment in energy development in high-potential provinces like Khanh Hoa.

Initially, the businesses proposed Ca Na LNG Power Center Project with a 1,500MW gas power plant utilizing combined cycle gas turbine technology; a fuel supply and processing system, a power transmission system; and infrastructure and technical works.

Concluding the working session, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang directed relevant departments and agencies to support the investors in conducting field surveys across the province to ensure that the investment orientation aligns with the needs of the businesses and the province's development direction.
