Ca Na is blessed by nature with a long coastline, deep and clean water, and is located at the intersection of all 3 main traffic axes: National Highway 1, North-South railway and international maritime route, directly connected to Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway. This is an advantage for the locality to develop international seaports, logistics services, fishery logistics, clean energy and marine tourism. In fact, the marine economy is still the pillar of the province’s development. In the first 6 months of 2025, the total seafood exploitation output of the commune reached more than 38,500 tons, equal to 52% of the yearly plan; produced more than 180 million shrimp seeds. The marine economy not only creates livelihoods for thousands of workers but also strongly promotes the fish sauce processing industry, steamed fish, and fishing logistics services.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the economy of Ca Na commune maintained a fairly high growth rate, among the highest in the province, the economic structure shifted positively with the proportion of industry - construction and services increasing rapidly, agriculture - forestry - fishery gradually decreasing. However, aquaculture still plays a key role, accounting for over 99% of the value of agricultural - forestry - fishery production, with an average growth rate of 4.9%/year. Many other key industries such as fishing logistics services, maritime transport, basic construction and energy have also gradually asserted their position. Industry - handicrafts have gradually developed with the occupations of shipbuilding, ship repair, fish sauce processing, ice production, and civil mechanics.

Ca Na is located at the intersection of all three major traffic axes: National Highway 1, railway and international maritime route.

In particular, the commune has planned and promoted a series of key projects such as: Ca Na Industrial Park phase 1 with an area of ​​378 hectares, total capital of nearly 3,900 billion VND, expected to operate from 2028; Ca Na International Seaport is operating phase 1; Ca Na Dam new urban area with a scale of 62 hectares, total capital of 4,500 billion VND under construction; LNG power project with a capacity of 6,000 MW is calling for investment. Many other projects such as petroleum depots, dry ports, logistics centers are also being promoted. These steps are changing the face of the commune every day, not only promoting the local economy but also opening up a modern coastal industrial - service urban space in the near future.

Orientation of industrial - marine service urban area

In the development strategy, Ca Na commune is strengthening its links with neighboring communes such as Thuan Nam, Phuoc Dinh and Phuoc Ha to form a supply chain and supporting services. This connection creates conditions to optimize resources, from labor, traffic infrastructure to agriculture - aquaculture and tourism. Dinh Van Hoa - Chairman of Ca Na Commune People's Committee emphasized: "Our goal is to develop Ca Na into a modern industrial - marine service urban area, a logistics and clean energy center, while preserving local identity values. Close cooperation with surrounding communes will create a sustainable development pole, both serving the economy and taking care of people's living". This orientation is also consistent with the general vision of Khanh Hoa province, concretizing Resolution No. 01 of the Provincial Party Committee on double-digit growth in the period 2025 - 2030, associated with Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW on sustainable marine economic development.
