On November 25, a delegation from Lao Ministry of Finance, led by Thammaloth Rasphone - Director General of the Department of Public Asset Management under Laos’ Ministry of Finance, paid working visit to Khanh Hoa Province to study the management and utilization of public assets. Accompanying Laos’ delegation was a delegation from Vietnamese Department of Public Asset Management under Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance, led by Tran Dieu An, Deputy Director General of the Department of Public Asset Management. The leadership of Khanh Hoa Provincial Leaders from the Departments of Finance, Industry and Trade, and Agriculture and Environment welcomed and worked with the delegation.

At the working session, the leadership of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Finance gave an overview of Khanh Hoa Province's geographical location; economic, cultural and social characteristics; strengths, future economic development orientations, and the implementation of guiding documents on public asset management in the province. The Lao Ministry of Finance delegation also exchanged professional experiences and knowledge on the management, exploitation, and utilization of land and public assets in Khanh Hoa, especially after the merger of administrative units.

The working session aims to strengthen and expand international cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general and to foster connections between Khanh Hoa Province and the provinces and cities of Laos in particular. Furthermore, it creates opportunities to introduce and promote the potential, strengths and needs of both sides; contribute to attracting investment, boosting commercial and tourism activities, adoption of scientific and technological advances, digital transformation, etc. of the province.
