Not only honoring, the program to select outstanding rural industrial products in Khanh Hoa is becoming a lever to help production facilities change their mindset. From small-scale family workshops, many units are boldly investing in advanced technology, transforming local products into national brands, confidently entering the world's most demanding markets.

Technology enhances value of local products

The more than 20-year journey of Tri Tin Co., Ltd. (Nha Trang ward) clearly demonstrates the change brought about by technology and the support of industrial promotion. Having faced many initial difficulties, the enterprise persevered in pursuing deep processing, especially applying water separation technology to preserve the full nutritional value of sea grapes. Le Ben - Director of Tri Tin Co., Ltd. shared: “From the journey of building our brand, we have learnt that when products are properly invested in and recognized as typical rural industrial products, their value and reputation in the market increase significantly. Alongside production development, Tri Tin has also standardized its quality management process according to international standards. Throughout this journey, the company has received support from the industrial promotion program and many domestic and international organizations, from consulting on factory and processing line improvements to human resource training and building a food safety management system. Thanks to this systematic approach, Tri Tin's sea grape products have achieved many stringent certifications such as HACCP, HALAL…, meeting the requirements for export to demanding markets.”

This achievement makes Tri Tin sea grapes the first product from Khanh Hoa to receive a 5-star national OCOP certification in 2025. Simultaneously, Tri Tin's sea grape product line has been recognized numerous times as a typical national-level rural industrial product, further affirming the quality and reputation of Khanh Hoa sea grapes in the market. The convergence of prestigious domestic and international certifications, along with the title of typical rural industrial product, has contributed to elevating the Tri Tin sea grape brand and increasing consumer and partner confidence in the company's products. Up to now, Tri Tin sea grapes are present in many countries and territories such as Japan, the United States, South Korea, and China; simultaneously forming a cultivation-processing-consumption chain that helps coastal people stabilize their livelihoods and increase their income.

Similarly, Thanh Hung Agricultural Co., Ltd. (Dong Khanh Son commune) also found a way out of the fresh durian consumption crisis in 2021. With the company's resources and support from the industrial promotion program, the company boldly applied freeze-drying technology, transforming this seasonal fruit into a highly stable product line. Nguyen Thi Vinh Hang, Deputy Director of the company, said that being recognized as a typical national-level rural industrial product in 2025 helps the business build trust with partners and expand its distribution system to more markets.

Aspiration for export markets

The effectiveness of industrial promotion in Khanh Hoa also lies in its systematic support system from the local to the national level. Over more than 10 years, the program has attracted 479 products from 297 participating establishments. The results show that 244 products have achieved provincial-level recognition, 68 products have achieved regional-level recognition, and 33 products have reached national-level recognition. To achieve this result, the provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center played a crucial bridging role. The center not only guided businesses through the application process but also supported them in accessing policies, upgrading machinery, improving product designs, and connecting supply and demand.

According to Le Quoc Dat - Deputy Director of the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, the center has coordinated and implemented many support activities, from consulting on standardizing quality standards to trade promotion, helping products from the raw material areas access modern distribution channels. In practice, most establishments with certified products have expanded their markets, increased sales, and created stable jobs for local workers. Typical rural industrial products quickly appeared in supermarkets, specialty stores, and penetrated export markets. In the coming period, the province will focus on promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation, and brand development associated with tourism. The central objective remains to further solidify Khanh Hoa's rural products' sustainable and modern position on the domestic and international economic map.

Beyond economic value, the industrial promotion program also aims to inspire innovation, encouraging businesses to boldly invest in machinery, improve technology, and standardize production processes towards modernity and sustainability. Through this, the image of Khanh Hoa's rural products is increasingly enhanced, building trust with consumers and partners both domestically and internationally. The provincial Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center will continue to act as a bridge, supporting businesses from production to consumption, contributing to the sustainable development of the rural economy.
