Qualifying round of Golden Spoon Awards in the Southern Central region

The qualifying round of the Southern Central region of the Golden Spoon Awards was held in Nha Trang City on November 11  with the participation of eight units, restaurants and hotels from provinces of Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Binh Dinh.

The qualifying round of the Southern- Central region of the Golden Spoon Awards was held in Nha Trang City on November 11  with the participation of eight units, restaurants and hotels from provinces of Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Binh Dinh.
 
The Golden Spoon Awards, jointly held by Minh Long I Co., Ltd., Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association and Business Research & Enterprise Support Center, takes place in 9 provinces and cities and attracts hundreds of professional chefs nationwide. Through the contest, the organizers hope to discover and introduce delicious local dishes to tourists.
 
After the regional qualifying rounds, 22 chosen teams will enter the semi-final which is planned to take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on December 24 and 31, respectively. Afterwards, 10 excellent teams will be selected for the final round in Binh Duong Province on January 14, 2014. The winner will get the award worth VND1 billion.
 
In the qualifying round of the Southern Central region held in Nha Trang City, the chefs provided many delicious typical dishes of each region which were highly appreciated by the jury who are famous culinary professionals. 
 
Finally, four teams including Kaya restaurant (Phu Yen Province), Sanest 1 restaurant and Nha Trang Vocational College (Khanh Hoa Province) and Saigon – Quy Nhon Tourism Joint Stock Company (Binh Dinh Province) were chosen to the semi-final held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 31, 2013.
