Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened Ponagar Temple Festival 2015 at Ponagar Temple on May 9. This year’s Ponagar Temple Festival, a traditional festival to commemorate Lady Goddess Thien Y A Na, the land mother, takes place from May 9 to 11, joining by over 120 groups of pilgrims.
Ponagar Temple was recognized as a historic and cultural vestige at national level in 1979. At the end of 2012, the Ponagar Temple Festival was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.
