Am Chua Festival opened at Am Chua relic site (Dien Dien Commune, Dien Khanh District, Khanh Hoa Province) on April 7 (1st of Lunar March).
Am Chua Festival opened at Am Chua relic site (Dien Dien Commune, Dien Khanh District, Khanh Hoa Province) on April 7 (1st of Lunar March).
Attending the opening festival were leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of Dien Khanh District and representatives of the departments and units in the province.
Many rites were carried out at the ceremony, such as unicorn dance, drumming, and thurifying. After the opening ceremony, groups of pilgrims performed many traditional items to praise the merits of Thien Y Ana Holy Mother and express wishes for peaceful life and abundant crops.
Am Chua Festival is said to be one of the festivals which has preserved many traditional rites and the traditional beauty of worshiping.
The festival will end on April 9.
