Vietnam Sports Day was established by President Ho Chi Minh on March 27, 1946. Since then, the sports and physical exercise movement in Vietnam in general and Khanh Hoa Province in particular has gained encouraging results.
Until now, in Khanh Hoa, 395,000 people often do physical exercise or play sports (32.77% of total population); more than 83,500 households (30.67% of the total households) were recognized as sports families. The whole province has four sports federations and twelve clubs of athletics, tennis, badminton, vovinam, karate, traditional martial arts, motorcycle and morning exercise, etc., which have significantly contributed to the development of the sports and physical exercise movement over the province.
In respond to the 71st anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day, the localities in Khanh Hoa organized activity called “Olympic running program for all people 2017”. As reported by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, about nearly 100,000 people joined this activity.
