The Visit Vietnam Year 2019 and Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2019 opened with a ceremony taking place at the 2-4 Square (Nha Trang) on May 11.
Attending the ceremony were Vu Duc Dam, Member of Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; the representatives of the Steering Committee of Visit Vietnam Year 2019; leaders of the ministries and central departments. Khanh Hoa Province’s leaders attending the ceremony included Le Thanh Quang, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Head of Visit Vietnam Year 2019 Steering Committee; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council; Le Duc Vinh, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, Head of Organization Committee of Visit Vietnam Year 2019 and Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2019; members of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Party Committee; leaders of the provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee and provincial Father Land Front Committee; and former leaders of Khanh Hoa Province. Additionally, the opening ceremony featured the attendance of the leaders of other provinces and cities; delegations of foreign guests; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and around 15,000 locals and tourists.
Khanh Hoa Province is the host of Visit Vietnam Year 2019 which includes nearly 100 cultural, sports and tourism activities taking placing through 2019. The Sea Festival, the highlight of Visit Vietnam Year 2019, has around 60 activities being organized from April 26 to May 14.
The art program of the opening ceremony of Visit Vietnam Year 2019 and Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2019 was directed by song writer Huy Tuan and was MC’d by Miss Vietnam 2010 and MC Dai Duong. Around 1,400 singers, performers, amateur and professional models of Khanh Hoa, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City performed at the ceremony. The ceremony finished with a low-range firework display.
The opening ceremony was live broadcast on VTV1 and KTV.
