Khanh Hoa Province’s Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization in association with provincial Managing Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha held a program namely Blood Donation Day in Nha Trang on August 8.
Over 200 Buddhists participated in the program and donated more than 100 units of blood. This was the first year the two units have cooperated to hold a voluntary blood donation program. This program is planned to be organized 2 to 3 times per year in the future.
On this occasion, C.P. Vietnam Corporation offered gifts to the blood donors.
Reportedly, there were 19,000 units of blood donated in Khanh Hoa in 2018. At present, around one third of people in Khanh Hoa have joined blood donation programs; repeated donors have been 63 percent.
