On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2020), the provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee organized a candle-lighting ceremony at Hon Dung Martyrs’ Cemetery (Nha Trang City) to pay tribute to heroic martyrs.
Attendees at the ceremony included Nguyen Khac Dinh, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ha Quoc Tri, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Ho Van Mung, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Department of Propaganda and Training; and Le Huu Hoang, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee. Other attendees included heroes of the people's armed forces; leadership of the provincial departments and sectors; and more than 1,000 Youth Union members and other young people in the province.
At the ceremony, the provincial Party Committee offered a gift worth over VND5 million to Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Duc Quan (Nha Trang City). The provincial Youth Union and other units gave 10 gifts, worth VND1 million each, to the veterans; and 27 scholarships, worth VND500 thousand each, school bags, books and notebooks to the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers’ Organization representatives, who were from policy families.
