Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province held a flower boat festival and boat race on Dinh River (from Chi Tru Dam to Dinh 1 Bridge) on February 19.
Within the framework of the event, 12 boats decorated with flowers joined the flower boat contest. 120 men and women from 17 wards and communes in the town took part in the boat race, paddling kayaks and traditional boats on a distance of 700m.
At the end of the event, the organization committee gave five A and seven B prizes to the teams of the flower boat contest; the first, second, third, and consolation prizes to the teams in the boat race.
This was the third time Ninh Hoa Town had organized flower boat festival and boat race. The second time was six year ago. The town hopes to make this event an annual one and a unique tourism product.
