Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists’ Association held a ceremony on June 21 to celebrate the 96th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2021) and to offer prizes to the winners of Khanh Hoa’s press awards 2021. The representatives attending the ceremony included Nguyen Khac Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Le Huu Hoang, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Van Thieu, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; journalists and reporters from the press agencies in Khanh Hoa.
The 2021 Khanh Hoa’s press awards received nearly 100 works of five press genres with diverse content from building Party; learning and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle; examples of good people and good deeds; culture’ tourism; COVID-19 prevention and control; economy; security and national defense; management of resources and minerals, etc.
At the ceremony, the jury gave prizes (two first prizes, four second prizes, six third prizes and ten consolation prizes) to 22 excellent works of journalists and groups of journalists. Journalists and groups of journalists of Khanh Hoa Newspaper won one first prize, one second prize, three third prizes, and four consolation prizes.
On this occasion, Vietnam Journalists’ Association gave the commemorative medals "For the cause of Vietnam's journalism" to 14 individuals; admitted two new members to Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists’ Association; and awarded certificates of merit to eight outstanding members.
