Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists’ Association and Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports jointly organized the opening ceremony of Khanh Hoa Province’s 2023 Spring Newspaper Festival at the provincial Library (8 Tran Hung Dao Street, Nha Trang City) on January 12. The representatives attending the ceremony included Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Ho Van Mung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Nha Trang City Party Committee; Le Huu Tho, Head of the Provincial Propaganda Department; Dinh Van Thieu, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaderships of the provincial departments, sectors and press agencies in the province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dinh Van Thieu appreciated the contribution of the journalists and reporters in the province and asked the press agencies of Khanh Hoa and other localities to actively propagate policies and laws of the Party and State and report socio-economic and cultural events.
The 2023 Spring Newspaper Festival displays around nearly 2,000 newspapers and magazines of over 200 press agencies in and outside the province. Along with spring publications, this year's Spring Newspaper Festival displays documents on the 13th National Party Congress; the 18th Party Congress of Khanh Hoa Province; documents about the resolutions of the central government and the province on the construction and development of Khanh Hoa in the time to come.
As usual, the organization committee of the 2023 Spring Newspaper Festival will select and award prizes to some spring publications with good covers and content about Khanh Hoa Province; and give spring publications to local libraries, centers of culture, information and sports in the province and Truong Sa (Spratly) District.
The festival ends on January 31 (lunar January 10).
