20 years ago, on April 2, 2003, Khanh Hoa online news portal, presently Khanh Hoa Online was officially launched, reaching readers at home and abroad. For over 20 years of construction and development, Khanh Hoa Online has remained an official news channel of the Party Committee, Government and people of Khanh Hoa Province. Khanh Hoa Online has been constantly upgraded in form and content to adapt to the development of information technology and the trend of modern journalism.

Some remarkable milestones are that the English version of Khanh Hoa Online made debut in December, 2005; Khanh Hoa online news portal was upgraded with a new version towards multi-media journalism in November 2012; Its mobile version was launched in April, 2014; Khanh Hoa Online made debut in April, 2017, enabling readers experience many new features and conveniences.

The 20-year-journey of Khanh Hoa Online has been highly appreciated. Every year, Khanh Hoa Online publishes more than 15,000 articles with over 20 million visits. According to statistics on SimilarWeb released by ONECMS Blog April 7, 2023, Khanh Hoa Newspaper ranked 7th out of 63 local Newspapers in terms of views and was among the top 10 most-read local newspapers in March 2023.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Khac Toan highly appreciated the efforts and achievements Khanh Hoa Online has gained over 20 years of construction and development. He also requested Khanh Hoa Newspaper in the coming time to focus on promoting digital transformation, constantly improve the connection and interaction with readers; promptly report news and stories in all sectors; continue improving articles meeting   political tasks and readers’ interests as well as modern journalism; The Party Committee and Editorial Board of Khanh Hoa Newspaper to continue focusing on professional development for reporters, editors and other staff of Khanh Hoa Newspaper. 

At the ceremony, Khanh Hoa Online made debut with a modern version with the latest features and modern media forms such as E-magazine, Podcast, Infographic, short video clips, etc. With the goal of promoting digital transformation in journalism, besides launching a new version, Khanh Hoa Newspaper has developed a converged newsroom responsible for all intake, production and output. The newspaper will also develop Livestreaming to stream important provincial events on the official website and its fanpage. On this occasion, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to 1 group and 3 individuals for their excellent contribution to the development of Khanh Hoa Online.

Also at the event, Khanh Hoa held a propaganda cooperation agreement signing ceremony with some businesses; jointly with Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Fisheries Society presented scholarships to 6 students who are disadvantaged fishermen’s children. Reportedly, 5-10 scholarships worth VND20 million in total will be offered to students in need under the support program for fishermen in the 2023 – 2027 period.
