The Provincial Road 8, especially the section at Mac Dinh Chi Junior High School, Dien Son Commune is often with potholes filled with murky water after rain. According to Phan Chau Vinh, Chief of the Traffic and Traffic Safety and Quality Management Department (Department of Transport), the road repair is very urgently essential to ensure safety for road users.

On May 5, the Provincial People's Committee approved in principle the investment in Provincial Road 8 to repair the road surface and drainage system to ensure smooth traffic to increase traffic capacity, contributing to local socio-economic development. The project has a total investment of more than VND 8.2 billion, including more than VND7 billion for construction and the rest for project management and construction consulting. The funding is from the central road management and maintenance budget 2023.
Recently, the Department of Transport has approved the economic and technical report for the repair of the Provincial Road 8. Accordingly, the work includes road surface, curb and gutter repairs, patching, traffic safety system supplementation and sewerage construction to increase resilience to flooding.
Khanh Hoa Department of Transport has just completed and approved the investment procedures for the Provincial Road 8 project. The construction is scheduled to start by the end of July and finish in the fourth quarter.
The road will be still in use during construction, so the contractor is required to ensure the safety of drivers and vehicles. All workers and construction technicians must be fully equipped with labor protection equipment; Construction safety signs and signal lights must be put at construction sites, to prevent any related risks and hazards, according to Nguyen Van Dan, Director Khanh Hoa Department of Transport.
