Numerous practical activities reaching out to the disadvantaged

The youth campaign of the Business Bloc in Khanh Hoa Province has been developed with various practical activities reaching out to the disadvantaged, contributing to ensuring social security.

Having stayed in a new house for more than a week, the family of Mau Minh Bao and Bo Bo Lang (Son Hiep Commune, Khanh Son District) still could not believe their dream had ever come true. Struggling to make ends meet, especially after an occupational accident, Bo Bo Lang’s dream of a solid house seemed out of reach. However, thanks to aid from Khanh Hoa Business Youth Union Bloc, the house has been built. It is worth VND170 million, including VND70 million from Khanh Hoa Business Youth Union Bloc and the rest from the family. Agencies in the bloc also offered household items to the family.

Promoting the volunteering and enthusiasm of the youth, Khanh Hoa Business Youth Union Bloc has organized several practical activities to support the disadvantaged. In July, agencies in the bloc have planted more than 100 trees at the C235 Ship Vestige Site, Ninh Van Commune, Ninh Hoa Town; given a roof repair grant to 1 vulnerable old person and 1 poor family in Ninh Phuoc Commune, Ninh Hoa Town; and offered gifts totaling more than VND110 million to 3 policy beneficiaries.

 Earlier, agencies in the province had organized several volunteering activities for the community’s sake. VNPT Khanh Hoa Youth Union held a volunteering program in Son Tan Commune, Cam Lam District and offered 15 gifts to malnourished children.

Vietcombank Khanh Hoa Youth Union cooperated with the Youth Union of Nha Trang Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company to give gifts totaling VND117.5 million to the disadvantaged in Son Thai Commune, Khanh Vinh District. The Youth Union of Khanh Viet Corporation implemented the youth project on lighting up rural roads with  solar lights worth VND60 million. The Youth Union of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company visited and gave gifts to orphans and vulnerable older people at Anh Dao Home in Ninh Xuan Commune, Ninh Hoa Town.

According to To Thi Tuyet Ngan, Secretary of the Provincial Business Union Bloc, members and young people in the bloc have joined many volunteering activities such as "Spring volunteering", "Winter Volunteering", "Youth Month" and so on.

Various practical programs have been effectively implemented by the Provincial Business Youth Union Bloc to improve professional competence, boost political and ideological education, etc. The Standing Committee of the Youth Union continued propaganda on promotion of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; the law on national marine sovereignty among young people and locals.

From now until the end of the year, the youth campaign will be boosted with in-depth activities with such annual targets as protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, fighting against wrong, hostile information and viewpoints in cyberspace; building community recreational places for young people; providing vocational counseling for the youths, making job recommendation for the youth; admitting members to the Youth Union and introducing outstanding Youth Union members to the Communist Party, etc.
