Provincial mission’s working visit to British Columbia, Canada

Khanh Hoa Provincial Mission led by Nguyen Khac Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council paid a working visit to British Columbia, Canada on July 28.

At the meeting, Nguyen Khac Toan introduced highlights of provincial potentials, strengths and development orientation, especially in the fields of investment, trade and tourism together with the promotion of international exchange and cooperation. He also expressed the hope that British Columbia Government would encourage entrepreneurs in British Columbia to develop trade and investment in Khanh Hoa.

Nguyen Khac Toan also suggested the two sides would strengthen cooperation to exploit the international tourist market through surveys and tourism cooperation forums between Vietnam and Canada towards opening a direct flight from Cam Ranh International Airport (Khanh Hoa) to Vancouver International Airport (Canada); take advantage of opportunities from the Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), including the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, of which Vietnam and Canada are members.

At the meeting, Jagrup Brar, Minister of State for Trade of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation of British Columbia showed delight to receive Khanh Hoa delegation, affirming that the 3 sectors Khanh Hoa had suggested for cooperation are very practical and appropriate for the demands, potentials and strengths of the 2 localities.

Jagrup Brar promised that he would provide the most favorable conditions for supporting businesses of the two localities to survey and boost investment cooperation in the coming time.
