Several activities pay tribute to revolutionaries

Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has just issued a plan on the celebration of activities to mark the 76^th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947-2023).

With great tribute to heroes and martyrs who have devoted their life to the national independence and reunification, this year, several meaningful activities have been planned to promote patriotism and revolutionary tradition, especially among young generations; increase public awareness of responsibility and gratitude to revolutionaries’ sacrifice and contribution to the national struggle for liberation.

Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visits and offers a gift to a sick soldier in Khanh Son District.

According  to Ta Hong Quang, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs, many outstanding activities will be held to take care of and pay tribute to revolutionaries, provincial leaders will lay wreaths and burn incense at Hon Dung Martyr Cemetery and Tram Huong Tower shrine in commemoration of heroic martyrs; together with localities visit and offer gratitude gifts to 80 outstanding revolutionaries and their families; and visit some nursing homes for revolutionaries.

In addition, the provincial Youth Union will organize a candle lighting ceremony to commemorate war invalids and martyrs for their great contributions to the national liberation and defense; take revolutionaries and martyrs’ family members to attend the national meeting in Thua Thien Hue Province, etc.

Moreover, propaganda activities will be promoted to increase public awareness of the Party and State's guidelines on preferential policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution; honor groups and individuals with considerable contributions to gratitude activities; fully and properly implement preferential policies and programs to take care of revolutionaries and their relatives; supporting the construction and repair of houses for revolutionaries in need; upgrading of martyrs' graves and memorial constructions, etc.
