Coral recovery survey on Nha Trang Bay

On August 11, a supervision mission of Khanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee jointly with Nha Trang Bay Management Board conducted a field survey on Nha Trang Bay for the implementation of Nha Trang Bay regeneration master plan till 2030.

The survey took place on Hon Mun Marine Reserve; Dam Bay mangrove plantation; and the sea waters where the project of coral transplantation on artificial substrates is being carried out by Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center.

According to scientists in the mission, corals are showing good signs of recovery in Hon Mun Marine Reserve after more than a year of scuba diving and swimming suspension to restore coral reefs.
