Eretmochelys imbricata released into wild

An individual of Eretmochelys imbricata has just been released into the wild of the marine ecosystem protection area of Ran Trao (Van Hung Commune, Van Ninh District).

Earlier on August 3, Khanh Hoa Department of Fisheries had received the species weighing 2kg, 30cm long from Australis Aquaculture Vietnam Company, Ltd.

Eretmochelys imbricata released back into wild.

Khanh Hoa Department of Fisheries in cooperation with Van Hung Border Station and the aquatic resource co-management and protection group released the individual of Eretmochelys imbricata back to the natural environment.

Eretmochelys imbricata is named as an critically endangered species in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List and Vietnam Red Book.
