Trade Union stands in solidarity with workers

Khanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union at all levels has organized various practical activities, contributing greatly to the local socio-economic growth. In the current time with both opportunities and challenges, Khanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union is required to make further innovations in performance to fulfill the vital role in representing and ensuring the rights and interests of workers.     

Long Sinh Company. Ltd. (Suoi Dau Industrial Park, Cam Lam District) is a private enterprise established in 1997 currently with 145 employees. Its Trade Union was founded right after the enterprise started operation to protect and advance the interests of its members in the workplace.

According to Vuong Vinh Hiep, General Director of Long Sinh Co., Ltd, the Trade Union has provided a link between employees and the employer for the interests of workers and the development of the company. Obviously, a sustainably developed enterprise will create many jobs, helping employees to increase incomes and stabilize their lives.

A good working condition will surely increase employee retention and make workers more attached to their workplace. The Trade Union has taken workers’ ideas and aspirations into consideration to ensure the protection of workers’ legal rights and benefits and improve the care for employees and unionists.

Up to now, 100% of employees have signed labor contracts. Trade unions also actively mobilize enterprises to sign collective labor agreements, with many contents beneficial to employees. Especially, during the time of the Covid-19 epidemic and the global economic recession, employees still earned stable income of more than VND12 million/person/month on average.

Mang Ho Ly, a worker at Long Sinh Co., Ltd. said: “Over the past 5 years working here, I find that the company Trade Union has provided us good care in all aspects; therefore, we feel secure at work. 100% of the company's employees are unionists.”

According to Bui Hoai Nam, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, Khanh Hoa Trade Union has constantly thrived, contributing greatly to the provincial socio-economic growth. Up to now, the Provincial Trade Union has developed 1,512 grassroots unions with more than 88,700 members. The Trade Union at all levels has got engaged in building regulations to ensure workers’ legal rights and benefits together with many other preferential programs for workers, helping improve their mental and physical life.

innovation in Trade Union work is essential, especially during the present time with both opportunities and challenges. In the coming time, the Provincial Trade Union will continue focusing on protecting the legitimate rights and interests of unionists and employees; developing membership; strengthening and developing the organization comprehensively and sustainably with the target that by 2025, the whole province will have 100,000 unionists; most enterprises with 25 or more employees will have Trade Unions; and collective labor agreements will be signed at 80% or more unionized workplaces.
