10th Technical Creation Competition inspires innovative research

Khanh Hoa Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations has just held a closing ceremony for the 10th Technical Creation Competition (2022 - 2023). 60 competitors or groups of competitors with creative and practical solutions were awarded.

This competition attracted nearly 250 products in various fields, including information technology, electronics, telecommunications, mechanics, automation, construction, transportation, agriculture, forestry and fishery, education, medicine and environment. Most were in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fishery and environment.

The competition attracted competitors from many agencies and departments, especially the Provincial Farmers' Association, Provincial Labor Federation and Education and Training sector. Several products showed creativity with practical solutions for socio-economic development and health care.

The first prize went to the research on isolation and identification of some Fungal skin infections in goats, rabbits, dogs and the manufacture of antifungal drugs, disease prevention and treatment by Nguyen Duc Tan and Nguyen Van Thoai (Central Veterinary Institute).

The results of testing conducted in some provinces and cities, namely Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Can Tho and Hanoi were satisfactory. The institute has manufactured new active ingredients for efficient and cost-effective treatment.

The mushroom snack production model by Nguyen Huu Loc (Ninh Diem Ward, Ninh Hoa Town) won the 2nd prize. The mushroom snacks are said to contain a lot of protein and fiber, helping to provide nutrition and stimulate the digestive system. Mushroom snacks have come to the market. The main ingredients include 75% of fresh abalone mushrooms and the remaining 25% of wheat flour and spices.

Other practical prize-winning solutions in education include synonyms and antonyms by Xuan Son Primary School (Van Ninh District), second prize; PowerPoint for teaching history by Van Gia 1 Primary School (Van Ninh), third prize; Mind map for praising English writing skills by 7th-grade students at Khanh Vinh Town Junior High School (Khanh Vinh District), consolation prize...

According to Nguyen Dac Tai, Chairman of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Provincial People's Council has adjusted the funding for such technical creativity competitions with the hope of inspiring more research and creating breakthroughs in creation in the coming time.

According to Le Huu Hoang, Central Party Committee Member, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, the competition provided an opportunity to honor individuals and organizations with creative initiatives bringing socio-economic effectiveness; inspire laborers’ creativity in various fields. More propaganda for the competition is required to widen its reach and increase its quality.
