These days, a lot of flowers and blossoms such as apricot, peach, chrysanthemum, and bonsai from many regions over the country are displayed for sale on many main streets in Nha Trang City, making the city more colorful and creating a joyful atmosphere in the days before Tet.

Chrysanthemum flowers from Ninh Hoa Town, Nhat Tan peach blossom from Hanoi, kumquat trees from Hoi An City (Quang Nam Province), etc. have been transported and displayed for sale on the streets namely Le Thanh Ton and Thai Nguyen, 6-way intersection, etc. in Nha Trang City for more than a week.

For the past 10 years, every Tet occasion, Phan Gia Khanh (An Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province) pools money with other small businesses to buy yellow apricot trees from gardeners in An Nhon Town and rent a space on Le Thanh Ton Street, Nha Trang to sell the flowers. This year, he sells 50 pots of yellow apricot trees, from small bonsai pots to large pots. As said by Khanh, the prices of yellow apricot trees remain the same as previous years, ranging from VND2 - 4 million/pot. Recent favorable weather has helped yellow apricot trees grow well; yellow apricot blossoms will open during Tet holidays.

Nguyen Duy Tu and some small businesses in Hanoi have transported more than 60 pots of Nhat Tan peach trees from Hanoi to Nha Trang and sell them on Le Thanh Ton Street. Tu and his partners offer round-the-clock care to the peach trees and will sell the trees until February 9 (lunar January 30). The prices of Nhat Tan peach trees range from VND2 to 10 million depending on the sizes of the pots. Nhat Tan peach blossoms are now blooming beautifully, with many layers of buds and young shoots, so buyers can rest assured that the peach blossoms won’t bloom early before Tet.

This year, the prices for yellow apricot, peach, and kumquat pots range from VND300,000 to about VND5 - 6 million based on sizes of pots. Chrysanthemum flowers from Ninh Hoa Town cost VND250,000 - 400,000/pot of chrysanthemum morifolium; VND450,000 – 5 million/pot of chrysanthemum of medium and large sizes. Besides flowers, ornamental plants, bonsai, paper yellow apricot and peach trees, wooden statues, paintings, etc. are also being displayed on the streets, attracting many people and tourists. Many young people wear Ao dai and pose for photos with beautiful and colorful flowers.

In order to create conditions for everyone to buy Tet items, Nha Trang City People's Committee allows temporary use of some parts of sidewalks and roadways in the city for flowers and ornamental plants selling and parking lot for bicycles and motorcycles. The approved areas are allowed to operate from January 25 and stop operating before 8:00 p.m. on February 9 (lunar December 15 to 30).
