Raising digital transformation awareness

An online multiple-choice contest on digital transformation organized for the first time by Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee with the participation of thousands of officials, civil servants and employees has contributed to raising public awareness of digital transformation in the province.

The online multiple-choice quiz on digital transformation was available on khaothi.khanhhoa.gov.vn from November 20 to December 20, 2023, attracting more than 22,400 participants.

Each person must give answers to 50 questions covering guidelines, policies and regulations of the Party, State and Government related to digital transformation strategies and projects on digital transformation in Vietnam; the province's policies, resolutions, programs and plans on digital transformation; goals and solutions for implementing digital transformation in the province; information about the roles, benefits and inevitable development trends of digital transformation among officials, civil servants and laborers across the province; public awareness and sense of responsibility for getting engaged in the province's digital transformation.

The leaders of the Department of Information and Communications awards the first prize to Nguyen Nam Hai.

The organizing board promoted propaganda for the contest in many different forms via portals, fanpages and so on; and requested the provincial press agencies; culture and information departments; culture, information and sports centers of districts and towns to publicize the contest.

“After receiving the document about the contest from the Labor Federation of Ninh Hoa Town, I disseminated it to all officials and teachers at my school. I myself spent time studying digital transformation to give accurate answers," said contestant Ho Thi Kim Toai (Ninh Da Primary School, Ninh Da town, Ninh Hoa).

The contest was designed to disseminate the roles, benefits and inevitable development trends of digital transformation among officials, civil servants and laborers across the province; and thus improve public awareness and sense of responsibility for getting engaged in the province's digital transformation.

“Digital transformation is an evitable trend today. It changes the way of living and working. Therefore, the contest helps convey the evitable trend and encourage officials, civil servants and employees in the province to move forward with the development trend. I find that digital transformation helps me to solve tasks more quickly, effectively and accurately," said Nguyen Nam Hai from the Provincial People's Committee Office.

According to Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, although organized for the first time, the online multiple choice contest on digital transformation attracted a large number of participants in the province, contributing to spreading the digital transformation more widely. The success of the contest was also the basis for the Department of Information and Communications to move on to the second contest with broader participants.

Officials and employees in the education sector participated the most with more than 8,000 contestants out of more than 22,400 contestants (accounting for 35.7% of the total contestants).

The organizing board awarded prizes to 16 excellent contestants, including 1 first prize, 2 second, 3 third and 10 consolation prizes. The first prize went to Nguyen Nam Hai, working at the Provincial People's Committee Office. Ninh Hoa Town has the most winners (10/16 contestants).
