Over 2 years implementing the Politburo's Resolution No. 09 on the construction and development of Khanh Hoa Province till 2030 with a vision till 2045, Khanh Hoa Town has gradually improved comprehensive infrastructures and urban planning towards becoming industrial urban area.

Comprehensive infrastructure development

One of the 8 important tasks and solutions in the Government's Action Program, the Provincial People's Committee’s Resolution No. 09 is urban coverage planning to create a premise for the development of Ninh Hoa Town.

According to Nguyen Thi Hong Hai, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Ninh Hoa Town, in August 2023, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1871 approving the task of adjusting the General Planning of Ninh Hoa Town until 2040.

Van Phong - Nha Trang Motorway runs through Ninh Hoa Town.

To synchronously develop infrastructures to ensure Ninh Hoa Town meets grade III urban criteria, on April 25, 2023, the town People's Committee issued Report No. 1507 to the Department of Planning and Investment for considering supporting investment capital for essential projects (local traffic infrastructures, roads, bridges, urban public lighting system; add the project list to the province's 5-year medium-term public investment plan for 2021 - 2025.

The town also clearly defines its goals and is gradually improving basic criteria of a grade III urban area; Focusing on promoting the process of rural urbanization, upgrading the 3 communes of Ninh Binh, Ninh Quang and Ninh Phung to meet grade V urban criteria; striving to have 7 communes qualified to establish ward administrative units, aiming to build Ninh Hoa Town as an industrial urban area.

Golden opportunity in new development phase

Two key national motorway projects, including Van Phong - Nha Trang section component project (belonging to the North - South Motorway Construction Project) run through 8 communes of the town with a total length of nearly 29km and the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Construction Project through 8 communes and wards with a total length of 32km, starting at the intersection between National Highway 26B and National Highway 1, Nam Van Phong port area and the endpoint bordering Dak Lak Province.

The site handover carried out by the People's Committee of Ninh Hoa town to implement the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway project has been 98% complete; The site handover for Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Construction Project (phase 1) has been 73.8% complete. When highway projects are completed and put into operation, they will contribute to promoting the development of tourism, trade, production and export of agricultural products, promoting investment and trade of local products.

Another huge advantage is that currently, more than 900 businesses and cooperatives are operating in the town, including a number of large enterprises in construction, shipbuilding, processing... with great contributions to the state budget. In 2023, the town's industrial production value was VND18,213 billion, exceeding 1.6% of the plan, up by 14.8% compared to 2022.

According to Nguyen Thi Hong Hai, 2024 is the fourth year of the five-year plan 2021 - 2025, which is especially important in implementing the Party Congress Resolution at all levels. Therefore, the town will continue to closely follow the goals, tasks and key solutions according to Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo and Resolution of the 19th Town Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025; maintain economic growth based on improving productivity and growth quality; promote the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; boost reform of administrative procedures, improve the investment and business environment; effectively promote socio-economic development resources.
