The Provincial Communist Youth Union has made plans to organize various practical and meaningful activities in response to the coming Youth Month 2024 (March) themed “Khanh Hoa youth pioneer in volunteering for the community’s sake”.
According to Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, Chairman of Vietnam Youth Federation in the coming Youth Month 2024, together with the celebration marking the 93rd foundation anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the youth Union at all levels in Khanh Hoa Province will boost political propaganda and education about the Youth Union history and traditions; organize trips to historical places and meritorious services; meetings with outstanding Youth Union cadres, etc.
The youth’s social security activities will be focused in March, especially in disadvantaged and remote areas with many ethnic minorities. The highlight of Youth Union programs is volunteering with various activities implemented across the province namely Green Sunday, volunteering for new rural construction on March 17; responding to the national-level concentrated urban area construction day; marking the 93rd foundation anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
The Provincial Youth Union has assigned its affiliations to implement the youth projects in getting involved in building new rural roads and bridges in disadvantaged areas; helping ethnic minority households have sanitary toilets and access to clean water facilities; deploying the project "Lighting up rural roads"; support new rural construction; deploy tree planting models such as "Youth nursery", "Trash-for-plant exchange", "Livelihood Livelihoods grow in gardens", etc.
Regarding environmental protection and climate change adaptation, the Youth Union will focus on developing urban civilization for a green, clean and beautiful environment such as reducing environmental pollution, removing illegal advertisements in public places, beautifying roads and other public places with parterres and so on.
Regarding social security, the Youth Union will continue charity activities to help the vulnerable, poor patients and students in need; and promote community health care with free medical examination and medicines offered to the disadvantaged, especially ethnic minority people.
The Provincial Youth Union has issued a plan to implement the Youth Month, assigning specific tasks to affiliations. The Youth Month launching ceremony will be held at 2-4 Square, Nha Trang City on March 4. After the launch, youth organizations will implement registered youth projects and tasks and report the implementation progress every week to the Provincial Youth Union for assistance and coordination when necessary.
To bring practical and meaningful values, activities in Youth Month 2024 will contribute to strengthening solidarity among young people and improving the quality of the Youth Union organizations; affirming the position and role of the youth; and preparing the Youth for a better tomorrow.
