Beautifying Ring Road 2

Nha Trang:

Since early March 2024, Nha Trang Construction Project Management Board has started the median greening and clean-up along the median on the Ring Road 2, Nha Trang City. The work is scheduled to be completed by March 30 to mark the 100 years of Nha Trang City construction and development (1924 - 2024) and 15 years Nha Trang City recognized as a class 1 urban area under Khanh Hoa Province (2009 - 2024).

According to Nha Trang Construction Project Management Board, the Ring Road 2 median greening was approved by Nha Trang City People's Council at the end of 2023 with a total investment capital of nearly VND15 billion. Accordingly, the construction unit will plant ornamental trees, create highlights with plants and flowers, install water supply pipes for manual irrigation; and repair and paint the median strip. Ornamental trees include Cypress, bougainvillea, rosewood, pipe trees and so on. The outside of the 2m median strip will be covered with bamboo grass, Arachis pintoi and Bidens pilosa to enhance the aesthetics of the median strip.

Besides, the construction unit will create some highlights with clusters of bougainvillea, Arachis pintoi and shaped trees; arrange flower clusters at the intersections and install water supply pipes for manual irrigation.

Tran Thi Minh Hanh, a resident in Phuoc Hai Ward, Nha Trang City said, “Street lights have been installed and trees are being planted on the route. We hope the plants here will soon thrive and boom soon to make the place become one of the most beautiful streets of the city, a perfect location for an afternoon river stroll and morning exercise.”

The project helps increase green space to keep the urban environment eco-friendly and sustainable, adding attraction to the city landscape with a stunning shady view and cool fresh air in the city

Since early March, the construction contractor has made efforts to clean up and weed out the entire Ring Road 2. The plants in this area are designed to be less than 1 meter high. Therefore, the Management Board asked the construction contractor to keep the trees healthy and fast-growing with the highest density as possible, according to Tran Le Hoang Phuong, Deputy Director of Nha Trang Construction Project Management Board.

The median greening on the Ring Road 2 will be completed by the end of this month.

Nha Trang City People's Committee has asked the investor to choose suitable types of trees for the climate and soil conditions and accelerate tree planting progress on the Ring Road 2 median strip to be completed by March 30 to mark the 100 years of Nha Trang City construction and development, 15 years Nha Trang recognized as a class I urban area under Khanh Hoa Province. The median greening is to improve the landscape and environment, contributing to a green, clean and beautiful city, said Nguyen Sy Khanh, Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee.
