Empowering women’s minds and hearts

Women are making efforts to fulfill their duties, both at home and at work, socially and economically. They play a vital role in the provincial socio-economic development. Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union at all levels has proactively implemented several programs and activities to contribute to the implementation of national target programs in the province, especially contributing to the effective implementation of the Resolution 09 of the Politburo on construction and development of Khanh Hoa Province to 2030, with a vision to 2045; and the Resolution No. 55 of the National Assembly on piloting specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa Province.

The Women’s Union at all levels has promoted propaganda and mobilized 100% of officials and members to carry out the campaign to contribute to Vietnamese family values associated with new rural construction and civic culture promotion; continue to launch mutual support campaigns to provide financial aid and develop livelihood for women, according to Nguyen Quynh Nga, Chairperson of Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union.

The Women’s Union at all levels has entrusted and managed more than VND2,628 billion, facilitating more than 66,000 members to get economic development loans; provided livelihood, built homes, and made job recommendations for the needy, contributing to reducing 3,528 poor households and 3,821 marginally poor ones in the province in 2023.

Apart from propaganda to raise ethnic minority women and the community’s awareness of changing their ways of thinking and acting to improve life and gender prejudice elimination, the Women's Union at all levels has also implemented approved projects on supporting women getting engaged in social activities and business start-up; plastic-free campaigns; and professional development for female officials and civil servants.

Women have opportunities to develop socially and economically with their careers. Women have the bravery, confidence and knowledge to get involved in social activities. However, women are to take on multiple roles, e.g. house chores and caring responsibilities within the home, which affects their ability to achieve work–family balance. They do not have much time for themselves.

Therefore, sharing and support for women at home and in the community are required based on mutual understanding, love and respect. The responsibility for gender equality is not only of each individual but also of each family and the entire society; is an important basis for building a "prosperous, equal, civilized and happy" family life.

For personal development, women must constantly improve their ways of thinking and acting, qualities, and ethics, build a healthy lifestyle, contributing to fighting against violence and social evils in society.

The Women's Union has implemented the Child Sponsorship Program, helping 500 orphans until the age of 18 out of nearly 2,000 orphans in need in the province. In the coming time, the Provincial Women's Union at all levels will continue to effectively organize and implement programs and activities to seek donations from organizations and sponsors to join hands to help the disadvantaged, disabled women, and orphans.

Moreover, the Women's Union at all levels will continue to support women, especially the disabled, in economic development to escape poverty sustainably, contributing to affirming women’s roles and position in society, and thereby promoting gender equality. On the other hand, the union will provide and improve women’s legal knowledge, family and health care; and provide prompt support for vulnerable women and children, said Nguyen Quynh Nga, Chairperson of Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union.
