The Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly with the provincial People’s Committee and the Indonesian Embassy in Vietnam held the “Meet Indonesia” Conference 2024 in Nha Trang City on March 22.

Present at the event were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Le Huu Hoang, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Party Committee, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; Teten Masduki, Minister of Cooperatives and Small & Medium Enterprises; Denny Abdi, Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam; Adhy Karyono, Acting Governor of East Java together with representatives of central and local departments, agencies and Indonesian businesses.

Leaders of the provinces of Binh Thuan, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Nghe An, Ninh Thuan, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Phu Yen, Thanh Hoa and Quang Ninh also attended the conference.

The event featured 3 discussion sessions covering hi-tech agriculture and aquaculture, digital economy, tourism, renewable energy and hi-tech collaboration.

Leaders and businesses in Indonesia and Vietnam showcased their respective countries' strengths an potentials in these sectors; shared policies, development strategies and experience; and had initial commitments served as a premise for investment cooperation.

On this occasion, the Indonesian delegate took a field survey of a green life agricultural tourism collective in Dien Dong Commune, Dien Khanh District.
