Imprints of Youth Month

The Youth Month 2024 has ended with many meaningful projects and tasks completed, showing the youth's spirit of volunteerism, enthusiasm and creativity for the community’s sake, leaving good impressions on local people.

Various volunteering activities

Various volunteering activities were held in the Youth Month, especially at weekends. According to Chu Minh Phuong, Acting Secretary of Nha Trang City Youth Union, based on the theme “Nha Trang youth volunteers for the community’s sake”, in the Youth Month, Nha Trang organized many volunteer campaigns to carry out such practical tasks as organizing Green Sunday in 27 communes and wards with the participation of more than 1,000 members and young people; launching clean-up operations for environmental protection, removing illegal ads, getting young people involved in new rural construction in 7 communes and so on.

In Dien Khanh District, various Youth Month activities were effectively implemented. According to Nguyen Xuan Huy, Deputy Secretary of Dien Khanh District Youth Union, Dien Khanh District Youth Union donated 1 drum set, 2 medicine cabinets and offered 15 gifts together with free medical examination to Dien Tan primary and secondary school. The district's grassroots organizations responded to the peak volunteer days, joining hands for new rural construction, Green Sunday, environmental activities in public places,  historical relics; removing illegal ads, etc.

According to Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, Chairman of Vietnam Youth Federation in the Youth Month 2024, the Youth Union at all levels in Khanh Hoa Province implemented 188 Youth projects with a total value of nearly VND1.7 billion, exceeding the plan. Many practical projects included a community sports area in Van Hung Commune (Van Ninh District), a water filter at Ly Thuong Kiet High School (Van Ninh District) implemented by the Youth Union of provincial agencies in coordination with Van Ninh District Youth Union; a physical room for children with developmental disorders at Yersin Nha Trang General Hospital by the Youth Union of provincial agencies in coordination with Agribank Khanh Hoa; “Lighting up rural roads with green energy" by Communist Youth Union of Khanh Hoa Provincial Businesses (Khanh Son District), etc.

Promoting the youth's enthusiasm

During Youth Month, volunteer activities to promote urban civilization are regularly organized. In particular, on the peak day (March 9), the youth Union at all levels organized 70 activities to deploy the bright, green, clean, beautiful, civilized and safe route. Youth volunteers participated in the cultivation of 6,350 trees and blood donation with 500 units of blood donated by 500 volunteers from Nha Trang University; and 355 units from the Provincial Police Volunteers.

The Youth Union Month was also a chance for the Youth Union affiliations to boost political propaganda and education about the Youth Union's history and traditions; national marine sovereignty; organize trips to historical places, etc. More than 200 sports and cultural activities were held to improve the overall health of members, officials and employees.

The Youth Month 2024 contributed to promoting the youth's enthusiasm and commitment to the community. In the coming time, the Provincial Youth Union will continue directing its affiliations to continue implementing ongoing projects and get well-prepared for the upcoming Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2024, according to Tran Anh Tuan.
