Urgent repairs on Ca Pass Tunnel landslide

A landslide inside Bai Gio Railway Tunnel (Ca Pass, Dai Lanh Commune, Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa Province) has disrupted travel on a North-South railway section through the province and neighboring Phu Yen Province.

After the landslide incident, more than 200 workers together with machines are making urgent repairs efforts to clear the landslide debris to reopen the tunnel as soon as possible.

On April 13, the Prime Minister issued an Official Telegram No. 37 to the Minister of Transport, Chairman of the Committee for Management of State Funding at Enterprises, Chairmen of Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee and Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on ensuring travel safety and smooth operation of Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway, mobilizing all forces to accelerate the repair work as well as ensure safety during the ongoing tunnel repairs.
