Summer Semester in Army to kick off with several fun and rewarding activities

Khanh Hoa Youth Union will organize “Summer Semester in the Army” Program 2024 with several fun and rewarding activities to help young people get entertained and develop life skills.

According to Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, the “Summer Semester in the Army” program is held annually to provide fun and skill training for kids and teenagers. For over 10 years, the program has proved effective and received positive feedback from participants and their parents. Therefore, this year, Khanh Hoa Youth Union will continue to jointly organize the program to provide an environment for children to have fun and develop essential skills during the summer breaks.

This year’s program is divided into 2 courses. One is “Happy Summer, Survival Skills” Kids’ Camp scheduled to take place at Nha Trang – Da Lat Style, Khanh Vinh District on June 15-20 and at Dac Nhan Tam Tourist Site, Dien Khanh District on July 20-25.

Kids will take part in various activities, namely international integration, a fashion contest, English Golden Bell ringing and singing; survival and rescue techniques; teamwork; historical education, etc.

The other course themed “We are Naval Soldiers” expected to kick off on July 20 provides military experience and life skills training such as survival techniques, first aid for bites and stings; camping, forest tracking, communication, self-defense skills and many more to help kids become more confident and independent.

The experiential activities are designed to inspire kids’ creativity, discipline, meticulousness, caution, solidarity and patriotism; help them understand the values of family; and thus strengthen family bonds; guide students to develop a mindset and improve self-awareness; expand relationships to support each other and promote solidarity. The experiential courses are to provide an environment for kids to get training and have fun.

To get well-prepared for the program, Khanh Hoa Youth Union has selected collaborators with priority given to young people with pedagogical expertise and life skills; and have experience supporting programs and events for students and Youth Union members.

The program has been publicized widely on mass media to reach kids, teenagers and their families. The experiential courses are expected to have 120 – 150 participants/ course with activities specifically designed to provide rewarding summer experience on a budget.
