Azerbaijani Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada visits Khanh Hoa

On June 13, Nguyen Hai Ninh, Central Party Committee Member, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee welcomed Shovgi Mehdizada, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Vietnam on his visit to Khanh Hoa and 2024 Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival.

Nguyen Hai Ninh gave an overview of provincial economic development and potentials, especially in tourism, service, aquaculture, ship-building and international seaports. The province is focusing on developing transport infrastructures, coastal urban areas, and promoting industrial investment toward sustainable development.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hai Ninh confirmed the traditional friendly relationship between Vietnam and Azerbaijan, opening up many opportunities for cooperation, especially in the fields of economics, trade and investment. He hoped Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada would support cooperation in potential fields such as tourism, investment and trade.

Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada highly appreciated Khanh Hoa's economic development potential, especially in tourism; adding that he had worked with Sovico Group (investor of Vietjet Airlines) to promote the opening of flights from the capital Baku (Azerbaijan) - Kazakhstan - Khanh Hoa.

Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada hoped to promote cooperation with Khanh Hoa in the fields of economics, culture and art, including activities at Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival; and trade exchange between localities of Azerbaijan and Khanh Hoa. The ambassador also suggested a world culinary festival organized in Nha Trang so that Azerbaijan would send top chefs to participate in. Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hai Ninh highly appreciated Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada's suggestions and cooperation proposals and gave direction for implementation.
