Spreading and promoting family values

Vietnamese Family Day (June 28) themed “Happy Family, Prosperous Country” is designed to promote family values toward social development.

According to Le Van Hoa, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, over the past time, the State management of families and domestic violence prevention and control in the province has been implemented synchronously.

Till late 2023, as many as 103 models of domestic violence prevention and control; 863 family clubs for sustainable development; 918 domestic violence prevention and control groups; 1,765 trusted addresses in the community and 549 hotlines have been established.

The propaganda and dissemination of guidelines and policies on family work and domestic violence prevention and control, family ethics education have been supported by locals, creating favorable conditions for family work staff to access information about families at risk of domestic violence; and thus effective solutions have been implemented to prevent and handle domestic violence cases promptly. Propaganda activities have been boosted to help mark family violence prevention and control in June 2024.

In the coming time, the department will continue to provide consultancy for the Provincial People's Committee to issue a plan to implement the Family Ethics Education Program 2024; implement the family development strategy in 2024; and program on domestic violence prevention and control in the new situation in the province.

Furthermore, the department will organize propaganda activities on the Vietnamese Family Day, the National Action Month against Domestic Violence and the International Day to Eliminate Violence Against Women and Girls (November 25) linked with the Action Month on Gender Equality and Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response 2024; enhance propaganda on family values and against domestic violence.
