US Navy, Coast Guard ships pay visit to Khanh Hoa

Le Huu Hoang, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Party Committee, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee met with the US Navy's 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge  and the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Waesche leadership on July 8.

The mission was led by U.S. Navy Vice Admiral Fred Kacher, Commander of the 7th Fleet; and accompanied by Marc Knapper, U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam and Susan Burns, U.S. Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the reception, Le Huu Hoang gave an overview of provincial potentials, strengths and socio-economic development strategies and cooperation programs between the U.S.A. and Khanh Hoa in recent years.

U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper affirmed that the visit would contribute to the U.S.-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership. He promised to continue enhancing the effectiveness of the cooperation between Khanh Hoa and the two cities of San Diego and Boston (USA); and support Khanh Hoa to attract and seek investors in the field of high-tech industry and develop cooperation in tourism.
