2024 “Red Journey” closing ceremony

The National Hematology and Blood Transfusion Institute held a closing ceremony for the 2024 twelfth “Red Journey” in Nha Trang City on August 16.

The program ran in June and July in 51 cities and provinces, receiving more than 128,000 units of blood. In Khanh Hoa Province alone, the program mobilized 4,000 participants and received more than 3,000 donated blood units.

"Red Journey” recognition certificates are granted to localities.

At the ceremony, the program presented recognition plaques to sponsors to the Steering Board for Blood Donation in 51 localities.

For over 12 years (2013 - 2024), the program has organized blood donation sessions in 59 provinces and cities nationwide, receiving nearly 940,000 donated blood units.

Khanh Hoa Province has joined the program for 11 years with the participation of more than 25,000 blood donors, donating 20,000 units of blood. 

The program has helped ensure sufficient blood supply for medical treatment and emergencies nationwide.
