Facilitating travel

These days, Gia Rich village (Giang Ly commune) is filled with joy of the local people when Song Trang Bridge construction has been completed and put into use.

52-year-old Nguyen Thi Dien happily said, "We used to travel a long way, taking the bypass from Giang Ly commune to Lien Sang or crossing the river to get the main road during the dry season. The new Song Trang Bridge helps facilitate travel, especially during the rainy and flooding season."

According to Nguyen Duy Vu, a resident of Cha Lien Village, Lien Sang Commune, the construction has brought the dream of a solid bridge to life, contributing to enhancing the local appearance. They no longer worry about how to travel and transport agricultural products when the rainy season comes. This new solid bridge coming into being is the great joy of residents in the communes of Giang Ly, Khanh Thuong and Lien Sang.

Creating stimulus to socio-economic growth

In March 2023, the Song Trang Bridge project was officially started with a total investment of VND80 billion, from the central budget for the period 2022 - 2025 and capital from the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, invested by the Economics and Infrastructure Chamber of Khanh Vinh District. The bridge is over 133m long, 8m wide with the sidewalk being 5m wide and the design speed of 40km/h. The project was completed in August 2024 and put into operation on August 27.

According to Van Ngoc Huong, Chairman of Khanh Vinh District People's Committee, the bridge ensures technical requirements and standards. The district has put the project into operation in time to meet the needs of local people for their travel and transportation, contributing to the local socio-economic development.

In particular, it ensures travel safety during rainy seasons. In the coming time, the District People's Committee will continue to direct the Economics and Infrastructure Chamber and other agencies to complete the remaining work items in accordance with the design to ensure safety for travelers as well as create a driving force to promote the local production, trade and socio-economic development.
