Calling for donations to residents hit by Typhoon Yagi

Khanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has just called for donations from local departments and agencies, businesses, religious institutions, individuals and organizations to help residents hit by Typhoon Yagi in the northern provinces.

Typhoon Yagi known as Asia's most powerful typhoon this year had battered Vietnam's north and caused subsequent landslides and floods, leaving many dead and missing, damaging homes, knocking down electricity poles, uprooting trees, destroying large tracts of crops, etc. The total damage is estimated to be dozens of thousands of billions of dong.

Each civil servant donates at least one day’s pay to support typhoon-stricken communities. Other individuals and organizations, religious institutions, departments and agencies and businesses may offer voluntary aid. The aid reception is from now until October 30.

Donations can be made by bank transfer to Khanh Hoa Fatherland Front Committee, account number: 3761.0.9066307.91999 at the State Treasury of Khanh Hoa Province; By cash at the Office of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, No. 2 Ngo Quyen, Nha Trang City.
