Khanh Hoa Province donates VND10b Typhoon Yagi relief

On September 10, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Committee, Provincial People’s Council and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee sent VND10 billion relief to support residents struggling with damages caused by Typhoon Yagi.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan also called for donations from local departments, agencies, businesses, religious institutions, individuals and organizations to help the typhoon-hit residents recover from the natural disaster. Each civil servant donates at least one day’s pay to support typhoon-stricken communities.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee instructed provincial Fatherland Front Committee, departments and agencies and mass organizations to continue to respond to the donation campaign, mobilize and receive donations from individuals and organizations to help struggling residents due to Typhoon Yagi.

The Asia's most powerful typhoon this year had battered Vietnam's north with gales and heavy rain after landfall, leaving many dead and missing, and causing massive damages and losses.
