Tree trimming and pruning are underway on many main streets, namely Tran Nhat Duat, Tran Hung Dao, Ngo Gia Tu, Yersin, Le Thanh Ton, Thong Nhat, etc.

Before the tree trimming and pruning, Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company workers have to put up safety signals to warn travelers to keep away from the sites for safety. Tran Ngoc Trieu, Phuoc Tien Ward, Nha Trang said a 15-year Flamboyant tree on Bach Dang Street with rotting roots at high risk of falling has been cut off.

Khaya senegalensis trees on Thong Nhat Street have been pruned to remove dead, weak and overhanging branches to ensure healthy growth and safety for travelers. Dang Thi Lam on Thong Nhat Street said, the khaya senegalensis provides much shade but also poses risks during the rainy season if not properly pruned.

There are more than 10,000 trees along streets, in parks and in urban areas in Nha Rang City. Workers are divided into small groups of 6-7 members in charge of the tree trimming and pruning.

According to Le Van Khoa, Deputy Head of the Tree Trimming and Pruning Team, Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, the rainy and stormy season is coming, so the tree trimming and pruning must be carried out urgently from early morning until 10 pm every day to ensure the work completed before the arrival of the rainy and stormy season. The trimming and pruning must be conducted properly to ensure that the trees can stay healthy and flourish.

“The trimming is done according to the city's plan and based on requests from residents and local authorities and approval from the company and the City Public Service Management Board.

Since August, the team has trimmed and pruned approximately 700 trees at high risk of storm damage on main streets such as Thong Nhat, Ngo Gia Tu, Le Quy Don, Tran Nguyen Han, etc.

On September 9, the Department of Construction issued a document requesting departments, sectors, urban tree management units, project investors and relevant agencies and organizations to proactively have a plan for tree care and maintenance, trimming, pruning and staking to decrease the risk of storm damage and assure safety.
