The new facilities help the school to improve teaching and learning, contributing to improving gifted education in the province. In the 2023-2024 school year, Le Quy Don Gifted High School contributed 32 out of 34 prize-winners at the National Excellent Student Competition.

However, the school's teaching and learning activities have encountered difficulties due to the lack of facilities such as a library, a hall, etc., according to Acting Vice-Principal Huynh Ba Loc.

According to the Provincial People's Committee’s decision approving the feasibility study report on the construction of Le Quy Don Gifted High School, Phase 2, the project was assigned to the Provincial Development Project Management Board as the investor. The construction scale includes a multi-purpose building, 840m2; a library and cultural block (2 floors), 923m2, with a total area of 1,695m2. Besides, a new school bus waiting shelter, a parking lot for boarding students, a football pitch, etc. will be built with a total investment of more than VND35.7 billion. In addition, more trees will be planted to create shade and beautiful views.

According to Teacher Huynh Ba Loc, the school staff, teachers and students are very excited about the second phase of the school.
